Sizing
- Garment sizing can vary greatly depending on fit required and garment style.
- Be aware that many garments are made by different manufacturers from different countries and as a result will fit differently.
- The best way to ensure you get the best fit is to try samples on.
- Suppliers will have access to the most common garment measurements, ask for a guide if you need help.
- If you are unsure about your sizing, you can compare the supplied measurements with any existing garments you have.
- When fitting out, allow for all variables eg. If you are wearing a tie, make sure you take into account the neck measurement.
Uniforms & Branding vs. Retail Garments
- Most retail garments are not designed to be branded after they are manufactured.
- Seams, pockets and existing branding on these garments are usually located in the places you would like to use.
- Fabrics can also be damaged when embroidering or printing unsuitable garments.
- For example most jackets designed for branding will have special internal pockets for access of embroidery machines.
- Most uniform garments have pockets and trims in places that don't interfere with the branding process.
Eco-Friendly & Organic Uniforms
Looking for eco-friendly/organic requirements in your uniforms? There are some products that carry organic certifications.
